About the museum
About the museum
The museum is built on the private collections of Latvians and Chinese living in Latvia.
Among the people who have donated their treasures to the museum are famous personalities, artists, qigong and taijiquan masters, Chinese language teachers, translators and others. You can find out about them all by reading the story behind each artifact.
You can visit the museum and enjoy fascinating stories!
Also we invite you to try on Chinese costumes!
Or immerse yourself in the world of Chinese traditional arts, crafts and games - in our workshops!
With an experienced teacher you can try traditional arts and crafts, and taste scented Chinese tea.
Museum collection tour “Treasure Stories”
The museum has more than 100 different artefacts from China on the following topics: painting and calligraphy, costumes and jewelry, tea and teaware, utensils, feng-shui items and many items originating from China.

Short and long workshops in Chinese painting (bamboo, lotuss, orchid, lucky fish etc), calligraphy (health, love, peace, money etc hieroglyphs writing), make a good luck bracelet, papercut, Chinese knots and other crafts.

Romantic evening for couples
